Seminar on Linking Technologies
Edinburgh 6 March 2001

Paul Miller

I am Interoperability Focus at the UK Office for Library and Information Networking (UKOLN).

This post, which is jointly funded by the JISC and Resource, aims to work towards a range of interoperable, user-focussed, solutions across sectors as diverse as FE and HE, the public library sector, museums, archives, and government.

Linking technologies such as those to be discussed at this seminar are of great importance in any vision of an integrated, interoperable, whole, serving as they do to enable potential for near-seamless navigation between diverse resources held by a wide range of providers.
