BackgroundOn Thursday 31st January 2002, the second Xgrain Learning and Teaching Associates workshop was held, attended by eight Learning and Teaching Associates and a representative from the project's Evaluation Team, who met with EDINA staff to discuss project progress and decide future activities. Moira Massey gave a presentation about the Xgrain project and the agenda for the day. Peter Burnhill, the Director of EDINA, gave a presentation to update everyone with the progress on the project, which has been mainly technical to date, and on its links with the rest of the JOIN-UP Programme. A session discussing feedback from participants on requirements work that they had undertaken at their institutions, or within their Subject Centres, was then held. Following lunch, a demonstration of the prototype Xgrain interface was given. The participants had a hands-on session, during which they provided feedback on functionality currently present in the prototype interface and on what they would wish to see developed. The final session then discussed the learning and teaching materials to be developed and procedures for them to be commissioned. ParticipantsXgrain Learning and Teaching Associates:
